Relief and Interim Airport Managers
When your airport manager is on sick leave, on vacation or has resigned, Cirrus can send an experienced airport manager to keep the airport running until your own manager is back or hired. We work with regional, First Nations, municipal and government airports, and with mine and remote project airstrips.
When Do Airports Call for a Relief Manager?
- Sick leave or other unplanned absence.
- Planned vacations, when nobody else on staff can take over the manager's duties.
- A resignation, while you recruit and train a replacement.
What Does the Interim Manager Do?
Runs the airport's day-to-day operations under your existing manual and procedures: inspections, staff coordination, records and the duties your manager normally carries. You choose the scope: the full role, or only the duties you need covered.
Who Is the Interim Manager?
An experienced, qualified airport manager from the Cirrus team. Cirrus also trains airport staff, so the manager can coach your team while on site.
How Does a Handover Work?
Before the manager arrives, we review your airport operations manual and current issues with you. When your own manager returns or is hired, we hand back with a written summary of what happened during the interim.
